Go fly a kite

Let’s Go Fly a Kite This Summer!

Child with kite
Kites can be a great way to get your child out of the house

If you’ve ever been interested in taking up a new hobby that involves getting outside and enjoying nature, kite flying might be up your alley. Flying a kite can be learned quite easily and can be picked up in a single afternoon. There are three different types of kites:

Single Liner Kites (the most common type)

These are the types of kites that come to mind when someone would suggest “Let’s go fly a kite”. Just as the name suggests it consists of a single line, and isn’t made for sharp turns and tricks.

Sports Kites

Also known as Stunt kites, these aerodynamic multi string kites are built for precision turns and full control. These are the kites that are commonly used in competitions and for more advanced kite fliers.

Power Kites

Any extreme sport powered by a kite such as kite surfing, kite skateboarding, ect. There kites are large and meant to propel its user.

We have a large supply of single line kites here at Nankin hobby. These kites are good for beginner kite flying and easily be flown on most days. Since there is only a single string mastering the art of kite flying is simple and the design is such that it easily catches the wind.

If you have kids, getting them a kite is a great way to get them away from the screens.  Some single line kites are low to no construction needed and can be put together in minutes. Flying a kite with your kids might just be what the doctor ordered to get them out of the house. We have kites from your favorite kids shows and movies such as Shrek, Toy Story, Winnie the Pooh, and many more!

So if this year you’re saying “Yes” to flying a kite, we’ll get your started! Call for more details or use our easy contact form!
